I stumbled across your site(s) late yesterday while googling New Deal Fish Market. I was looking for their hours to see if I had time to pick up mussels (I had a craving). I was delighted to discover your amazing blog and website, as well as this recipe. Went home and made it and it was great. I sent your blog link to my wife who sent it on to people she knows. This is what is great about the internet. Keep up the great work.

Hi Francophile,

I thought moules frite were mussels with fries. If you have another definition, would you mind pointing me to a link?

Cheers,

It's "Moules Frites" and it's the bistro dish steamed mussels with fries. But yes, it translates as "fried mussels."
